Fear: She's a real bit*h.
F E A R >> It’s a real bit*h. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I just finished reading Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker. One of his “wealth principles” states that the only time we are actually growing is when we’re in the space of being uncomfortable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is interesting, right? In order to grow we must embrace being uncomfortable?? A year ago I would’ve rolled my eyes at this—purely out of fear. But now, I’m seeing this principle in full effect. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pushing past our place of resistance is where the magic happens; it’s where we start to see our work come to life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s not going to be the easiest choice. As a matter of fact, it’s most likely going to be the scariest choice, the one that yields the most risk. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This can be scary. Scary and overwhelming. I get it. Starting this business and just recently making the decision to step out of my full-time, corporate role has been the scariest damn thing I’ve ever done. And I still have days that I’m scared as hell. But listen, staying in our comfort zone is only going to hold us back. If you’re wanting to create something new, something that serves your soul and lights you up, you can’t keep doing the same old thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you want different results you must take different actions. It’s as simple as that. Push past the fear. Push past that part of you that says, “nah just stay here where it’s safe.” Identify what you want. Claim it. Make sure it serves your mind, body, and spirit and go after it.
